We can’t but emphasize the importance of curtain lining: adding an extra layer to your curtains, it will protect them from fading, and better insulate the room from outside light and noises, thus increasing its intimacy and coziness. But there is also a decorative argument in favour of curtain lining: lined curtain will look heavier, more stylish and glamorous. In case of extra light fabrics like silk or tafetta, it is recommended to add interlining between the fabric and the lining, in order to give extra weight and body to your curtains.
